Convicted felon Armstrong Cane (Ving Rhames) returns to his neighborhood a changed man looking to take over his father's old church and congregation. The neighborhood though is tough and full of drugs and gangs. Through Armstrong's tough demeanor and strong faith he tries to make a difference - especially with Norris - a youth on the edge of falling into a lifetime of drugs and gangs. Jack, a delinquent teenage boy, runs away in hopes of reuniting with Jesse, the gay father Jack hasn’t spoken to in seven years. Jack’s timing couldn’t be worse. To the shock of his father and his father’s partner, Connor, the boy shows up in the middle of their marriage proposal. Even more shocking, both Connor and Jack didn’t know the other existed. The party transforms into a true Dynasty moment as Connor and Jack storm out in opposite directions.

Torn between the two, Jesse doesn’t know whom to go to first. The couple’s snarky best friend, Patrick, takes charge. He shoos Jesse after Connor and then rushes after the boy himself. Patrick’s love for his friends, his pity for the confused boy before him, and the “blunt” Jack pulls from his backpack all help Patrick convince the boy to stay. Meanwhile, Jesse is less successful. Connor packs a bag and goes… across the street to stay with the neighbor, Dale.

Tense weeks go by as Jesse and Jack try to rebuild their relationship. However, even as father and son make progress, Jesse can’t seem to patch things up with Connor. The couple continues to drift further and further apart.

Dale watches as Connor acquires a glut of new habits – going days without bathing, strewing trash, and drinking continuously – until he can’t take anymore. Dale teams up with Patrick (a la I Love Lucy) to step in, intervene, and accelerate the healing process.

The plan works! The couple reunites, Jack gets back on track, wedding arrangements are made, and everyone blends into one big happy family. Until… There’s a knock at the door. It’s two weeks before the ceremony, and the son’s girlfriend, Cara, is standing there. Scared, alone, and VERY pregnant. At this pivotal moment, can this group of gay men convince the straight boy to “man up”? Will the coming baby get more presents than the happy couple? And, more importantly, can Jesse endure his new title: Grandpa?

What makes Timing unique is that it is based on actual events from the author’s life. This personal touch strikes a chord of realism while remaining laugh-out-loud funny. You walk away feeling like you know the characters personally, just like the author. (Less)

Vankilahoitsu (The Prison Nurse) is a comedy about a fresh prisoner whos cell neighbor tells him of the "special treatment" giving nurse they have in their prison, but the nurse only treats those who have serious bruises. Only a moment later they are competing on who inflicts the more serious bruises on themselves to get to the nurses care.

Missing her friends and finding her parents to be distracted by their work, Coraline tries to find some excitement in her new environment. She is befriended--or, as she sees it, is annoyed--by a local boy close to her age, Wybie Lovat and visits her older neighbors, eccentric British actresses Miss Spink and Forcible as well as the arguably even more eccentric Russian Mr. Bobinsky. After these encounters, Coraline seriously doubts that her new home can provide anything truly intriguing to her, but it does; she uncovers a secret door in the house. Walking through the door and then venturing through an eerie passageway, she discovers an alternate version of her life and existence. On the surface, this parallel reality is similar to her real life--only much better. The adults, including the solicitous Other Mother, seem much more welcoming to her. Coraline is more the center of attention there--even from the mysterious Cat. She begins to think that this Other World might be where she belongs. Chinatown in New York City is like a traditional village set in the midst of Manhattan. A Tightly packed neighborhood of torturously winding and overcrowded streets. Tung Tak Chiu's days are spent at The Hong Hop Noodle Company right in the village.

He is a man for all jobs in the bustling factory. A delightfully humorous individual, with an animated face, and with movements that could belong to a dancer.

This short portrait film shows a typical day in the life of "The Noodle Man", walking the streets, shopping, working at the many tasks to create hand made noodles.

Then after work a game of checkers, shopping for food and then home for a lonely meal.

An ordinary day, as experienced by many hard-working residents of Chinatown. But this charming man brings an insight into "a day in the life" that few visitors will ever see.
