A superbly animated, clever and funny short film from Swedish character animator Alli Sadegiani. Through the simplest of plotlines, a single character, a single setting and a little comedy we see human greed laid bare for the idiotic and dangerous thing it is, something we all know is a part of us bubbling beneath the surface, that some keep in check and others fail to with disastrous implications for themselves and the people around them.

Vision. Leadership. Expertise. Monster.
Who the hell is running things anyway? Is he man or beast, machine or god? Toronto, New York, London, Tokyo – BUSINESS AS USUAL invites you along for a psychotic ride through the financial power capitals of the world. Described as an art-film version of ‘The Corporation’, BUSINESS AS USUAL presents unusual representations through a more than usual character; the generic businessman. Gestures were filmed in front of stock exchange buildings in TORONTO (TSX), NEW YORK (NYSE), LONDON (FTSE) AND TOKYO (TSE) and edited as a collage-in-motion, combining location, gesture and image manipulation.
BUSINESS AS USUAL reveals the grotesquely human nature of the executive citizen and questions the threatening prevalence of global economic markets as the new world culture. (Less)

LOCATION: REDCAR, NORTH-EAST ENGLAND.
RT: 72 mins
YEAR OF PRODUCTION: 2009
Documentary about a coastal community's campaign to stop the local council selling off covenant-protected common land and beach front to build a housing estate under the guise of a fantastical leisure scheme.
In the Summer of 2009, Redcar & Cleveland Council announced a £30m scheme to
regenerate Redcar seafront...But what happened to The £88m Coatham Links scheme of 2002 ?! After 7 years of council hype, the great “Rennaissance for Redcar” has seen over a MILLION pounds spent and NOT ONE brick laid of any new tourism and leisure facilities.
COATHAM IS A COMMON CONCERN because every taxpayer in this borough has paid for it. Like the MPs expenses scandal that outraged the nation, the Coatham leisure scandal involves all the parties grossly misusing our money. But this amount far exceeds the cost of Redcar MP Vera Baird’s Xmas decorations...
Now you can learn the REAL facts of a bungling, hellbent council that has failed Redcar; that has shown contempt for democracy and YOU the public. WE SAY ENOUGH !
In May 2009, this film was shown in PARLIAMENT and in Coatham church to 600 people. MP VERA BAIRD TRIED TO STOP BOTH SHOWS but NO legal action was taken. Thanks to public donations the truth can now be told. . (Less)

This episode sees the return of the progress bar! At last!!! If you are late to the party then head on over to www.mrvista.net to see previous wranglings with the progress bar from hell.
Seeing as how it was what started this whole ridiculous thing then it makes sense to have it in every now and again. In the same way that you have to invite that uncle around 3 times a year even though he smells of despair. Enjoy.
