This is the movie trailer for "Inventing Kin". The story of a girl trying to reconnect with her long lost father. Her family is full of wacky inventors, so Kin sets out to add to the family legacy by inventing her own unique invention. A gold dickenson production. Directed by fro rojas. Two lovers meet one another on a bridge. All is well until tragedy rises from the water.

This Film was made using traditional cut-out animation.
Everything is done under the camera, only some minor After Effects were added later.

This film was made in South Africa in a home studio. It took 3 months to make. We constructed a 1.2 meter high light box and mounted the camera above it.

Mr Vista has pulled at last! Virtually of course.

Remember the bad old days? Back then to get a cheeky peek of the female form took effort. Probably involving making 'Scuff Face' Andrews* give you a bunk up so you peek in through the girl's changing room's upper windows - as an example. What a waste of time! And they painted them over after a few weeks anyway. Pah!

Well there is none of that now. The onward march of technology, the billions of dollars invested in technology, the decades of work putting in an international network of inter-connected servers have all paid off. The time is now! Now some girls will give you a tease for free. Awesome. And better for Scuff Face's back too!

* Replace your long suffering friends name here - eg. Chubby Cheng, Killer Khan, Beak nosed Brenda or just plain old 'Fart breath'. (Less)

Xcorps Action Sports Show #12.) "LUGE" seg.3 - Xcorps cameras were the only ones rolling at a grassroots guerilla style gravity sports event we call The Barrett Junction Shootout featuring downhill luge, stand up skate board, inline speed skate and gravity bike racing held at Barrett Junction near San Diego Ca. Firestorms raged as gravity riders from around the world zipped on leathers, checked trucks and let it go at the IGSA sanctioned event organized by rider Frank Waterhouse who broke the course record on the closed stretch of highway not far from the Mexican border.
Xcorps host Bob Woodard opens the show from San Diego riding the Speed Skater street luge equipped with the new SkateBrake. Not bad for a first run Bob! Our cameras were as committed as all those who showed up at the event amid warnings that out of control firestorms burned on all sides. Lots of big smoke and fire shots here as well as a dedication to all the victims of the biggest fire in San Diego history.
Papa Roach and Lo-Tel pump the action with X and Gravity Games winners like Rat Sult and the ever-loved Kludy pushing 60mph down the hair pinned and cliff edged coarse which offered no room for error. See riders in their best speed tucks and a sick head over heels wipeout by gravity bike rider Noah Rutherford who lives to tell the Xcorps cameras all about it. Yes we slo-mo the magic moments for our viewing audience. Noah split the bikes rims and will recover.
Inline speedskaters Dave Lambert and downhill champ George Merkert talk about their realm of the event and invite other skaters to go for speed while Donald Orlando shows off his 84mm 6 wheel skates he got up to 58mph! Nice. After that Xcorps guest host and gravity champ Rat Sult talks to the fiercest female competitor in the league Stacy Allen from Oklahoma and asks her how she got into the sport. Music from the Rolling Stones and Dr. Dre back the piece.
After the break speed board legend Kludy talks to the camera about the effects of big winds on course speed. Frank Homemade Waterhouse wraps the shootout with his thoughts, more race action and some powerful shots taken from space of the fires that surrounded the event closing all exit roads. Many camped the night.
Bob Woodard takes another luge run and opens for Xcorps host Jason Lazo who is in Detroit hanging with the So Cal band NHOI - Never Heard Of It - who are playing Saint Andrews Hall in the rock city. Jason talks with the band about their tour and proceeds to blow the place up! See the show for the fun details. Remember you saw this band first on Xcorps!
After that Jason intros a new video from our friends at Rive video promotions featuring music from Relapse Records band UNSANE. WARNING - fierce face grinding bone breaking skate wipeouts here. Wear your bloody helmit!
The show wraps with more skate punishment from Rive along with host Bob Woodard promising more action and music from the corps next week. Additional music by the Deftones and Drowning Pool. See The Action - Hear The Music - Join The Xcorps!

His delusions of grandeur are put to the test when the mall is struck by a flasher. Driven to protect and serve the mall and its patrons, Ronnie seizes the opportunity to showcase his underappreciated law enforcement talents on a grand scale, hoping his solution of this crime will earn a coveted spot at the police academy and the heart of his elusive dream girl Brandi, the hot make-up counter clerk who won't give him the time of day. Dr. Dog is a psychedelic rock band from Philadelphia consisting of members Scott McMicken (A.K.A. Taxi), Toby Leaman (Tables), Zach Miller (Text), Juston Stens (Trouble), and Sukey Jumps (Thanks). Past members include Doug O'Donnell (Truck), Ted Mark (Today), and Andrew Jones (Trial). Dr. Dog has explained that friends of the band also receive nicknames, which are drawn from various aspects of their lives and personalities (Jones, for example, is a certified lawyer). Their sound has been compared to that of various 1960s pop bands, especially The Beatles and Doo-wop, as well as Cromagnon. Before 2004, the band was not well-known, and was often mistaken for a hip-hop group because of its name. The group had a small fanbase until My Morning Jacket brought them on tour. Soon after, The New York Times music critic Kelefa Sanneh praised the group's album Easy Beat in a December 2004 article, leading to attention from other critics. They signed with Rough Trade Records and completed their first cross-country tour in 2005. Late 2005 saw the departure of Jones, who became a full-time lawyer. Jones was replaced by S. Jumps. In early 2006 the group toured Europe and the US with Clap Your Hands Say Yeah and has also been the opening band for The Strokes' 2006 tour in Detroit, Cleveland in the United States of America, as well as a tour with The Raconteurs, and The Black Keys in the fall of 2006. In September of 2006, Dr. Dog released a new EP, Takers and Leavers. The title, presumably drawing from terms coined in Daniel Quinn's Ishmael. The first 1000 bought had custom covers. The regular EP was for sale later in September. The EP will feature the song Ain't It Strange and Die, Die Die; both will be on their LP, We All Belong, coming out February 27th from Park the Van Records. Another song, Worst Trip, from their up coming album is featured on the soundtrack for the movie Fast Food Nation. (Less)
