Real N Raw!
So what is “Real N' Raw?" It is a solutions focused film about reclaiming health and wellbeing. The Director Matty was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis at age 5 after being symptomatic for two years. At age 12 he was told if he did not have his bowel removed and replaced with a colostomy bag he would have cancer by age 19 and not live to see 30. Today he is 35 and is a picture of health. This is a story that gives hope to us in understanding that disease is not a mystery. Health is here if you want it.
Matty is also a top animation artist, who has worked with Warner Brothers, Disney and more. He was trained by one of Disney's top animators and is a co-founder of Animators-Ink. Matty wanted to share what he has learned in the best way he knew by directing our independent film "Real N’ Raw".
“Real N’ Raw” is about reclaiming our health using simple and easy to access solutions. We hope that no child has to go through what Matty went through.
The film is dedicated to our children and to future generations.

Our Vision
At Fruit For Our Children, we seek to restore individual and community health in a simple, natural way. We invite you to become part of an inspiring possibility, to join us in nurturing a positive vision of an abundant future: one which is healthier, happier and less stressful. There are many possible visions of abundance; ours is an abundance of healthy, nutritious fruit, freely available to all, the length and breadth of Aotearoa, New Zealand.
We envision
* growing fruit trees organically, with less toxins and more nutrients
* producing a range of fruit varieties locally, to shorten the distance between the
orchard and the table
* helping create vibrant, healthy communities, through recognition of common needs
and goals
* empowering people of all ages to plant fruit trees on local Marae and the
commons; in church yards, back yards, school yards, town and country
* connecting children with nature, to improve their vitality and overall quality of and
reverence for life

Terra Madre is a project conceived by Slow Food, the philosophy of which evolved over the the organization’s history and crystallized at its realization that “eating is an agricultural act and producing is a gastronomic act.” Slow Food had always stood for the pleasures of the table, for the importance of good-tasting food, and for the defense of cultures facing growing homogenization as a result of today’s so-called modern rationales regarding production, distribution, and economies of scale. It was where these “rationales” were leading that brought Slow Food to realize the need to protect and support small producers, and to change the systems that put them in danger by bringing together those players with decision-making power: consumers, educational institutions, chefs and cooks, agricultural research entities, NGOs, etc. It became clear that it is only through repeated, cumulative, local action, following a guiding global vision, that a significant impact can be achieved.
Thus Terra Madre was born: To give voice and visibility to the rural food producers who populate our world. To raise their awareness, as well as that of the population at large, of the value of their work. To sustain their ability to work under the best conditions, for all of our good and for the good of the planet. For these reasons, constructing a global network—with information-sharing tools, the means to learn from each other, and opportunities for collaboration in many ways—seemed invaluable. We must continue to have fertile lands, lands on which sprout and grow plants and animals appropriate to those environments, rather than needing to be pumped full of chemicals to make them thrive artificially. And we must also continue to have the people capable of stewarding these lands, to have their know-how, so we can have food that still carries the tastes of our youth.
The inaugural gathering of Terra Madre launched the network in 2004 in Torino, and was on an unprecedented scale. This first edition brought together 5000 producers from 130 countries and shone global media attention on their crisis. The second edition was in 2006, and incorporated an additional 1000 cooks, from renowned to modest, but all aware of their role relative to high-quality food producers. Also in attendance were 400 researchers and academics, seeking to bridge the theory of their work with hands-on practice.
A project of this scope could never have come into being without a dedicated core of partners. Slow Food rallied public institutions as well as local, regional, and national bodies to collectively form the Terra Madre Foundation, further partnering with private companies and numerous like-minded networks, some of which were established specially for the event. Xcorps Action Sports Show #9.) "SUPERBIKE" - The Xcorps charges hard in this episode featuring high speed bikes ripping at the California Speedway, big air B.A.S.E. drops down in Mexico and dune machine madness in Glamis Ca all powered by high doses of fresh new tunes.
The show opens from Fontana Ca at the Cal Speedway where the Yamaha SuperBike Challenge is covered by host Jason Lazo. See 200MPH motorcycle runs here with Jason talking to riders Vincent Haskovik of team Hooters - yes the hooters girls are featured here as well. J also talks with rider Marty Craggill about the Zen of pushing the 200MPH mark.
After that Xcorps Films presents part #2 in the B.A.S.E. series with segment host and psycho jumper Ray Murphy returning to the screen this time from Copper Canyon Mexico where he and his friends jump the 3000 foot cliffs of this remotely exotic location. This is rare stuff with Ray being only the 5th person on earth to jump El Gigante! Multiple camera and POV angles here to help you gut feel the 20 second fall down a rock face. See what Ray says scared him the most as well as the chopper skid drop high over their campsite all as close to the edge as possible.
Then J man Lazo rolls into Burbank to talk to the band powering the tunes in these jump segs - The Prom Kings - together only 6 months! Our cams caught mega record producer Fred Croshal there, this band is going places! See Joey, Mauricio, Luke and Chris jam the studio for the XC cameras and yes there is a piercing on camera done to document the times!
Jason and Roz then intro a new segment addition to the show from producer Jason Rapp comes a huge motor madness look at the machines rolling Glamis dunes east of San Diego. See a Ford F150 stay airborne forever! Bikes, trikes, carts, ATV's and custom rods along with riders on towed furniture and topless chicks. Throw in hard tunes by The Silence and some ugly wipeouts and you have the picture. The show wraps with Jason giving Roslyn a small beating and Bob Woodard previewing the next eXotic Xcorps episode - Hawaii.
Protection MUST be worn when viewing this show! Music by Chron - The Prom Kings - The Silence and Paul Oakenfold. Ready - steady - go.
