About

hum-drum films is an independent film company based in York, England. Ryan de Koning, Finn Riley and Miles Watts began hum-drum as a quarterly magazine sold across the UK, and branched out into films in 2007 with The Planetarium, which reduced audiences to tears of mirth.

Since then, they have continued to make and release short films online and in film festivals across the UK, as well as hosting nights of music and film from York to Leeds to London and back again.

Three of their shorts; George's Prize, Nazareth and Time Is Lost, were included in prestigious film festivals last year, and their short 3:04, written and directed by newcomer Kendal Chalk, was snapped up by Propeller/Sky TV for screening over the next three years.

An official website, hum-drum.com, is in development, and hum-drum will be making more shorts in 2009, with a larger project on the horizon.
