They first met in film school at Loyola Marymount University in Southern California. “Hawaiian Ghost Story” is a homage to Hawaii and its people, showcasing its rich culture, legend, and lore.

Marvin says, "I wrote Rosewood as a way of compiling all of The stories I had heard about the restaurant business into a feature-length script. My father and grandfather have run restaurants, on and off, their entire lives, and their last endeavor, Wa Bar, had a colorful staff that inspired many of these stories."

He has been passionate about making movies since the age of six. He got his start in the film industry when he interned with writer and director Gary Ross (Seabiscuit, Pleasantville).

As a child, he would go into a room and act out entire movies by himself. He imagined his own entire film industry, complete with studios, directors, actors, festivals, and sales figures.
