This is a music video for "Get Up and Go," a catchy tune by the U.K. rock band Broadcast 2000. The song sounds like DeVotchKa circa Little Miss Sunshine, and the video looks like nothing you've ever seen before. The creator is Vancouver Film School student Jordan Clarke. Enjoy him while he's still indie. Mark my word: This guy's going to be making big-budget commercials for a living.
The title says it all: Kids doing flips and making impossible jumps while holding green balloons. Green is the operative color featured in the film's otherwise black-and-white cinematography (except for a brief burst of sunlight). It's on the kids' shirts, it's in the background, and it leaves a trail as balloons are waved in the air. Some of the stunts appear to have been accomplished through reverse photography. The rest we can chalk up to the magic of cinema.
Balloon Flip makes me want to eat Skittles. I told you Clarke is going to be a great commercial director one day.
