This engaging music documentary consists of a short interview with Unorthodox, the Kansas-based indie-rock band. The interview was filmed in the freezing cold outside the club Groundwork, where the band had just performed songs off of their new album, Heres One for Seduction.

Unorthodox is made up of Kyle Engeman (guitar/lead vocals), Brian Bailey (guitar), Chris Michael Hubbard (bass), Nick Gingras (drums) and Jason Smith (guitar, backup vocals). Most of the guys have been together for going on five years, while Smith is the band newbie.

The guys talk about how MySpace has helped them gain recognition and how personal heartbreak is often the inspiration for their songwriting. Smith proves to be the funniest interview subject, sarcastically complaining about being the new guy. (“They told me I was ugly and couldn’t read very good.”)

Interviewer/camera operator Andrew Shafer does the best he can with the dark lighting inside the club and captures a variety of images. The video features one song off of Heres One for Seduction. To hear more, visit myspace.com/unosworld.
