This is a very stylized film featuring two lovers in bed. The sheets and their clothes are white while the background is all black. For me, this gives the film an artificial feel and creates a distancing effect in what should be intimate moments. But it's very well shot and written.
The main character describes how the best moments he has with his girlfriend are always interrupted by hysterical phone calls made by her ex-boyfriends. "That'll be you one day," she tells him matter-of-factly.
That single line captures the theme of this series of videos adapted from the Dan Rhodes book, Anthology. It's about the fear that the magic can't last. Together says this eloquently, even comically, and it's the message that keeps the film from being art-directed to death.
