TimClague 10 Seconds
"The premise is pure genius."

The premise is pure genius: a "strange chap" discovers he has the power to see 10 seconds into the future. He's able to avoid stepping on a tack and spilling tea down his shirt, but really, what could one really do with just 10 seconds of foresight?

A lot, I think. First of all, you'd never lock your keys in your car; that would be a big one for me. Second, no one around you would ever suffer any horrible accidents, like stepping in front of a bus or falling out a window- that is, unless you wanted them to. It would be especially useful in social situations, so you could gauge other peoples' reactions. In fact, I bet President Obama has this power, since everything he says comes out sounding so smooth.

At any rate, the guy in 10 Seconds isn't able to do much with his powers, for reasons that are understandable and entirely hilarious. The movie has been wonderfully made by BAFTA-nominated director Tim Clague. The look is especially enchanting; you feel as if you could reach out and touch the sets, like in a Henry Selick movie. A funny, imaginative little film.
