Jaman is a video-on-demand site specializing in foreign films. The company has partnerships with such big-name distributors as Lionsgate, Paramount Digital Entertainment and Magnolia Pictures. This trailer is a colorful collection of clips from movies available on Jaman.
The only problem is that there are no title cards to identify the movies. Instead, we’re given an unexplained montage of scenes. This would seem to defeat the purpose of the trailer, which I assume is to give the viewer some idea as to what they might want to watch on the Web site.
As is, we’re given a random compilation of eye-popping scenes, featuring such familiar faces as Salma Hayek (Frida) and Diego Luna (Y Tu Mama Tambien). My favorite subtitle translations are “I wished to drive you mad” and “Its tinkling shall follow my footsteps.” It shall indeed.
