This is a collection of animated instructional videos created by Tim Heiderich. They all feature stick figures and bright yellow backgrounds, and have so many jokes you'll want to watch them over and over.
The movies offer sound advice (except for Atomic Bomb, which reminded me of the scene in Fight Club where Tyler Durden shows us - quite accurately - how to make homemade napalm). Surviving in Outer Space describes what to do when, like the astronauts in 2001: A Space Odyssey, you've p**sed off your ship's malevolent computer. The meta How-to How-to is a guide to how to come up with ideas for instructional videos, while Having a Baby is full of edifying tidbits like how to make money off of your baby. It has the best line ("If you're unhappy with your baby, do NOT throw it in a dumpster."), but Finding Parking is probably the best overall. It's certainly the most relatable for anyone who's ever lived in a big city or on a college campus.
Each segment is short and stuffed with details. (Hit the pause button during At a Concert so you can read all the funny band names on the back of a fan's T-shirt.) I love the musical cues that end each episode and the narrator's deadpan delivery. This series is just a lot of fun.
