This is a cool little teaser for COTTONMOUTH: THE MOVIE, the visually arresting horror film directed by Christopher P. Garetano. The video is done in the style of Halloween TV commercials. All of Garetano’s work shows a healthy appreciation and respect for the genre, in the same way that Robert Rodriquez and Quentin Tarantino showed their love for drive-in and midnight movies in Grindhouse.
Cottonmouth is about the vengeance exacted upon a corporate executive by spirits from beyond the grave. We see snippets of the movie, as well as behind-the-scenes and original footage Garetano shot especially for this trailer. The coolest of the original footage features a pumpkin that talks. Neat effect.
I actually prefer this trailer to the actual film. Oh well. The same thing will probably happen with Watchmen.
