The video description for Black Ox, the new stop-motion animated video by Monsieur Monsieur Boivin, goes like this: "Black Ox action figure doing Skateboard tricks!" Well said, Monsieur.
That's right. Patrick Boivin is at it again, playing with a new toy and filming it in the coolest way imaginable. Watching the movie is kind of a Meta experience. We see a wide shot of a skateboarding park, and then the camera pans down to show us a discarded skateboard lying upside down on the pavement. Black Ox is chilling on the big board with his miniature board. He flips the big board over, jumps on his little one and starts doing tricks.
The park is sprayed with graffiti art, which makes for a nice background as Black Ox does his thing. Once again, Boivin delivers astounding visuals. We could be watching a big-budget commercial for the latest PST3 game. The killer soundtrack is by Akido.
