Beauty is the funniest of the victorsolomon videos adapted from Anthropology, the short-story collection written by Dan Rhodes. It imagines a girl of such exquisite, Aphrodite-like beauty that she causes havoc whenever she leaves the house. If the girl in question isn't quite as stunning as the people in the film seem to think, it matters little because at its heart this movie is an absurdist comedy.

The movie has a lot of style, like the fast-tempo circus music that plays throughout and the kaleidoscope entry into each scene. I love the utter indifference of the girl, who is described as having never developed a personality because she didn't need to. Like all of the movies in this series, Beauty has no spoken dialogue but just the ever-present voice of the narrator making observations about his girlfriend. This works especially well here as we witness all the trouble the girl causes, including heart attacks and embarrassing erections.
