"Transformers: Dark of the Moon" Continues to Rule Box-Office, "Horrible Bosses" Opens Strong

"Transformers: Dark of the Moon" maintained its No. 1 position in its second weekend with $47 million. But wait there's more! The sci-fi adventure starring Shia LaBeouf is now the top film of 2011 crushing "The Hangover Part II." So far, the Michael Bay flick has made $261 million in the domestic box-office, while its international take was at $384 million. ("Transformers: Dark of the Moon" movie review)

Meanwhile, opening at No. 2 was the Warner Bros. comedy "Horrible Bosses" starring Jason Bateman, Charlie Day, and Jason Sudeikis. The funny film opened with strong $28.1 million. ("Horrible Bosses" movie review)

Not having a great weekend was Sony Pictures. The studio's family flick, "Zookeeper" starring Kevin James, only managed a $21 million opening. Now, that's not bad, but with a budget of $80 million, it would take a while before Sony recoup its money.

Here's the estimated Top 10 box-office list for the weekend of July 8th:
