Like it really matters right? Some fanboys may not like that Zachary Quinto, the guy who effectively donned Spock's persona in the recent "Star Trek" reboot and one of the few actors from NBC's "Heroes" who actually mattered, came out as gay over the weekend.

All I can say is live long and prosper Mr. Quinto!

And by the looks of it, Quinto will have a long career and perhaps prosper in years to come. Currently, the actor is starring as Anna Faris' love interest in "What's Your Number." This Friday, Oct. 21st, "Margin Call" opens. It's the first film from the actor's indie production company Before the Door Pictures. Quinto stars alongside Kevin Spacey, Jeremy Irons, Paul Bettany, Stanley Tucci and Demi Moore.

And according to The Hollywood Reporter, Quinto will next play a recurring guest star stint in FX's "American Horror Story" where he will play Chad, a gay former owner of the haunted house where Ben (Dylan McDermott) and Vivien (Connie Britton) live. Watch for it this Halloween for the show's two-part episode.

And of course, Quinto will return to the role of Spock in the sequel to J.J. Abrams' 2009 monster hit! The film is set to go on production this January.
