No More "Transformers" for Shia?

It seems that Sam Witwicky may finally leave his robot days behind. The actor who plays the Autobots' pal, Shia LaBeouf, was heard saying he has nothing more to offer to the "Transformers" franchise.

According to The Huffington Post:

The 26-year-old American actor told The Associated Press he was "done" with the action-packed franchise, adding he "doesn't have anything new to contribute."

That's good, since I found his character increasingly annoying after three movies. Where else can director Michael Bay take Witwicky? ("Transformers: Dark of the Moon" movie review)

Plus, compared to the last "Transformers," "Dark of the Moon" suffered a 40% drop on its opening day. But really? $37.3 million box-office take on one day is still gigantic, no?
