Dream Home, the incredible slasher movie, in Udine for its World Premiere and directed by Hong Kong's Pang Ho-cheung, who will be guest of honour amongst all the stars appearing at the festival.

Theme : If your dream home costs a fortune, how can you lower its price? Simple.

Kill all of your future neighbours and you will soon find that potential buyers are put off. This is the strategy used by Josie Ho to give her brother and dying father a new home. Pang Ho-Cheung writes gruesomely in this fierce and troubled attack on the property situatiion in Hong Kong.

Interview with Pang Ho-cheung, the director of Dream Home by Helen Dobrensky - Fareast Festival.

"How did you come upon that theme of real-estate development in Hong Kong, in the first place?"

Actually, I noticed how impossible it is for normal people to own any property in Hong Kong due to the sky-rocket prices, which anyone with a regular salary can't afford. And in the Chinese culture, a person's social status is judged by the criterion of whether or not he or she owns any property.

Then, I started wondering about those whon do own and thought they must have done something really unusual for them to get it.

This led me to the idea of a single woman, and what she does to acquire her dream home with a view to the sea. She will have to kill all the neighbours for the sales price to fall, due to the Chinese superstition about an evil omen affecting any unit where a person died.
