"Transformers" redux anyone? The trailer presents the movie with the same shimmering sheen as the Michael Bay Paramount extravaganza right? After all, both "Transformers" and "Battleship" came from Hasbro although the latter's origin was a board game.

The final film of the "Harry Potter" franchise shattered box-office records easily landing on top with $168.55 million opening!

"Transformers: Dark of the Moon" maintained its No. 1 position in its second weekend with $47 million. But wait there's more! The sci-fi adventure starring Shia LaBeouf is now the top film of 2011 crushing "The Hangover Part II."

Paramount has confirmed that it has crossed the magical $1 billion mark at the domestic box office for the year. And the studio has been the first to cross the $1 billion mark for five years in a row!

Thanks to our friends at Autoblog, it seems that Michael Bay copied his own "The Island" for his latest hit, "Transformers: Dark of the Moon."

As predicted, Optimus Prime and Megatron ruled our Independence Day weekend! "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" took the No. 1 spot despite critical drubbing.

It seems that Sam Witwicky may finally leave his robot days behind. The actor who plays the Autobots' pal, Shia LaBeouf, was heard saying he has nothing more to offer to the "Transformers" franchise.

So "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" is lording over our Fourth of July weekend, and it's still up in the air if we get to see "Transformers 4."

My expectations were low for “Transformers: Dark of the Moon.” The second film in the franchise, 2009’s “Revenge of the Fallen,” treated us to a barrage of noisy visual and aural effects that the third film should be better right? Wrong! The threequel is a soulless, joyless experience with a few eye-popping special effects.
