If you are to believe the marketing campaign behind "Dark Shadows," you would be led into thinking that the film is campy in the grand tradition of "The Addams Family."

After years of waiting, we now have a taste of the upcoming "Dark Shadows," the big screen adaptation of Dan Curtis' vampiric soap opera saga starring Johnny Depp as the iconic Barnabas Collins.

It's very gloomy at the House of Mouse. Their $250 million plus project, "John Carter," failed to reach box-office Nirvana and one executive even suggested that this could be the biggest Hollywood flop since Michael Cimino's "Heaven's Gate" in 1980.

This past weekend at the box-office, "Dr. Seuss' The Lorax" continued to shine while the out-of-this-world adventure, "John Carter," failed to match expectations or its reported $250 million budget!

And here you go, my movie review of "John Carter" starring Taylor Kitsch in the title role from director Andrew Stanton, the guy who gave us "Finding Nemo" and "Wall-E."

And we thought we won't be able to see this picture much less the movie.
